1. Find a Place for Your Wii U

Once your Wii U console and all of its parts have been removed from the box, you must choose a location for the console. It need to be set up close to your television on a level surface.

The Wii U system sits flat by default, but you can sit it upright if you have a stand, like the one that comes with the Deluxe bundle. Two plastic pieces that resemble short “U”s make up the stand. When the console is flat, they move to the right side of it. The stand components’ slots line up with the tabs protruding from the console.

2. Connect the Cables to the Wii U

The rear of the Wii U is connected via three cords. Connect the AC adapter to a power outlet. Now insert the yellow-coded end of the AC adapter, which is on the opposite end, into the Wii U’s yellow port. You can appropriately orient it by observing the port’s form. The red port’s design will also indicate how to insert the sensor cable, which is coded red, into it.

An HDMI cable that resembles a smiling mouth is included with the Wii U. You can connect anything if your TV has an HDMI port, which has the same form as an HDMI port.

3. Instructions If Your TV Doesn’t Have an HDMI Port

  • Place the Wii U console at least 4″ (10 cm) away from walls or other surfaces that may block ventilation.
  • Ensure your television is turned off.

The sensor bar may be positioned either directly below the TV’s screen or on top of it. It need to be in the center of the display. The two adhesive foam pads on the underside of the sensor should have the plastic film removed. Next, the sensor should be gently pressed into position. To prevent the signal from being obstructed if you mount the sensor on top, make sure its front is flat with the TV’s front.

Since it’s less likely to be blocked by low items like my feet on an ottoman or a toddler, we like the sensor bar to be on top of the TV.

Simply insert one end of the AC adapter into a wall outlet and the other end into the port on the top of the gamepad if you are only using it to power the device. When using the cradle, place it on a level surface after inserting the AC adapter into the bottom of the cradle.
